joy stick

A pointing device used to move an object on screen in any direction. It employs a vertical rod mounted on a base with one or two buttons. Joy sticks are used extensively in video games and in some CAD systems. See video game controller.

A Joystick
Joysticks are used in video games, and similar devices are used in some CAD systems and other electronic control systems. The term came from the main control stick in a small airplane.

They come able to handle a joy stick, but they don't have paper, pencil, scissors, and ruler skills.
