A shaking or wobbling effect in a video image. Judder is often caused by the conversion of 24 frames-per-second movie film to 30 and 60 frames-per-second video. See telecine and flicker.
judder Informal chiefly Brit
abnormal vibration in a mechanical system, esp due to grabbing between friction surfaces, as in the clutch of a motor vehicle
