keratomalacia [‚ker·əd·ō·mə′lā·shə]
(medicine)
Degeneration of the cornea characterized by infiltration and keratinization of the epithelium, eventually leading to thinning and perforation of the cornea; generally occurs in vitamin A deficiency.
