ACOM's enhancements include toner sensors that prevent MICR check printing unless MICR toner is installed; a three-position keylock switch (MICR On, MICR Off, Printer Off); customized MICR font and toner engineered specifically for use with the Phaser 5400, and an external PCMCIA card reader for secure storage and use of sensitive corporate information such as MICR fonts, signatures, and corporate identity elements.
One of ACOM's key enhancements is a three-position keylock switch that facilitates user-selectable MICR printing, Non-MICR printing, or No Printing in the Printer Off position.
