A chip package that uses flat metal pads that make contact with the socket or circuit board. Contrast with leaded chip carrier. See CLCC.

11, 2002 Advanced Semiconductor Engineering Incorporated (ASE) (TAIEX:2311) (NYSE:ASX), one of the world's largest semiconductor packaging and testing companies, announced today that it is ready for volume production of its image sensor packages; the Ceramic Leadless Chip Carrier (CLCC) and Organic Leadless Chip Carrier (OLCC).
The T0360 utilizes an extremely small, 4 x 4mm leadless chip carrier package for improved performance and to minimize board space utilization.
All are packaged in surface-mount leadless chip carrier (LCC) packages that use the industry's latest flip-chip technology.
