legacy-free PC

A PC that does not contain earlier peripheral drives or ports. Legacy-free PCs use USB ports instead of serial and parallel ports. They do not have a floppy drive, but typically do have analog modem and Ethernet ports. Should an older device need to be plugged into a legacy-free PC, there are adapters for serial and parallel ports to USB.
