| The half-mile of earthen trail, bordered by rustic lodgepole fencing, will extend the north-south Sand Canyon trail, now about a half-mile long, and link it to the Santa Clara River trail, which runs east and west about 14. About 90 acres of burned woods were reforested in 2004; this year 30,000 lodgepole pine and Engelmann spruce will be planted to reforest 100 more, benefiting both watershed conditions and wildlife.
