Brown-shelled white-fleshed fruit similar to a lychee, native to Asia. Tea mixes black, white, green or oolong tea with sometimes uncommon ingredients, including lychee, pineapple or rosebuds, to create varieties of flavor. In Florida, longan tree growers complain that the recent arrivals threaten their orchards, which yield a profitable fruit related to the lychee and originally imported from Southeast Asia. |
