The risky part of the World Wide Web. It refers to the top level domains (TLDs) that are most likely to have fictitious Web sites. Since 2007, antivirus software company McAfee has analyzed millions of Web sites in more than 100 countries to determine which domains contain the most dangerous sites. In 2010, the .COM domain was still the riskiest but also the most heavily trafficked. The least risky were .TRAVEL, .EDU and .JP (Japan). See malware and drive-by download.
