In contrast to FISP 2D 40/17 sequence, on FISP 2D 30/70 sequence in midsagittal plane, the signal of caudally directed CSF flow during systole presented with lowered intensity (Figure 2d), while the signal of cranial CSF flow directions during diastolic period presented with elevated intensity.
Indeed, Marshall and Halligan (1989) reported that targets could be omitted in a shape cancellation task independently of their position with respect of the midsagittal plane, and concluded that 'right attentional capture' might be a better description of patients' performance than 'left neglect'.
To determine whether lifting belts stiffen the torso and alter the trunk muscle response during a sudden loading event, we tested the hypotheses that (a) lifting belts alter peak muscle activity recorded with electromyography (EMG) during sudden loading and (b) lifting belts have a larger impact on trunk muscle response when sudden loads are applied asymmetric to the torso's midsagittal plane.
In the second session, participants submitted to MRI (TR = 510; TEs = 20; matrix size = 160 x 256) of the midsagittal plane of the brain.
The anatomy appears as if it were split vertically down the midsagittal plane with each side folded outwards: the nose remains in the center, the right and left sides of the anatomy are on the corresponding sides of the film and the spine (having been split in half) appears beyond the rami at the extreme lateral edges of the film.
Acceptable images had to show the fetus in a midsagittal plane with the spine down and had to be enlarged enough to show two echogenic nasal lines--a superficial line showing the nasal skin and a deeper line showing nasal bone.
