Morning Star

morning star: see evening star evening star or morning star, planet that becomes visible in the western sky shortly after sunset or in the eastern sky shortly before sunrise. It can usually be seen in twilight, when it is too light for the true stars to be seen.

a progressive English daily newspaper.

Founded in London in 1930, the Morning Star appeared until April 1966 as the Daily Worker, the organ of the Communist Party of Great Britain. It is published by the Morning Star Cooperative Society, Limited, and also accepts contributions from readers. The Morning Star leads the struggle for the vital interests of English workers against the antipopular policy of monopoly capital. It stands for the unification of all the forces of the left in the struggle for peace and security among peoples.
