After the official search was suspended Thursday morning, family and friends continued to search for Wayne Crowley, 47, and eventually turned up a mountain bike and a body, KCAL-TV (Channel 9) reported. The groups involved were the Charlottesville Parks and Recreation Department, Blue Ridge Mountain Sports, the Charlottesville Area Mountain Bike Club, the Virginia Native Plant Society, the Rivanna Conservation Society, the Outdoor Adventure Social Club and the Ragged Mountain Running Shop. The running program is continually placing Marines into All-Marine and Armed Forces competitions, and the mountain bike team continues each weekend to place mountain bikers in local races and events. |
