In a broad sense, any and all supplies and equipment required to conduct offensive or defensive war, including war machines, ammunition, transport, fuel, food, and clothing, but excluding personnel and excluding supplies and equipment for purposes other than for direct military operations.
In a restricted sense, ordnance.
