A technique for studying various phenomena in solids and liquids and chemical reactions of muonium atoms, in which a beam of polarized muons is focused on a sample and the loss of polarization of muons in the sample is monitored by observing the spatial anisotropy of electrons or positrons emitted in the muon decay. Also known as muon spin rotation; muon spin resonance.
