Spatula(redirected from nasal spatula)
Also found in: Dictionary, Thesaurus, Medical.
a thin, flexible steel plate (less frequently made from antler) resembling a small trowel or knife. It is used primarily in oil painting, to remove paints from certain areas of the canvas, to apply the ground, for additional grinding of colors, and to clean the palette. A spatula is sometimes used instead of a brush to apply colors in a thin, even layer or in a thick impasto.
