Nem 

a river in the Komi ASSR, a left tributary of the Vychegda River (Severnaia Dvina River basin). It measures 260 km long and drains an area of 4,230 sq km. The river is fed chiefly by snow. The mean flow rate 16 km from the mouth is 37.3 cu m per sec. The river freezes in November and thaws in May. The Nem is Used for floating timber.
