netViz

A network diagramming program for Windows introduced in 1993 from netViz Corporation, Gaithersburg, MD (www.netviz.com). It keeps the lines connected to the objects when they are moved and also allows a database to be linked to diagram objects for equipment and network documentation. More than 400 predefined symbols are included. NetViz was privately held until 2003 when it was purchased by Concord Communications, a company that develops performance monitoring and fault management software. In 2005, Computer Associates acquired all assets of both Concord and netViz.
