As the storage network cloud continues to clear, new solutions will continue to transform the SAN from mere "storage space" into a far more strategic network resource capable of powering high-performance applications on a global scale. Furthermore, appliance solutions with no presence in the network cloud also cannot offer this type of guarantee for enterprise-class applications. The CLX brings softswitch distributed intelligence to a more efficient point of presence -- the physical interconnect layer of the end office -- rather than higher in the network cloud, which enhances the service provisioning process, simplifies operations and maintenance, and improves survivability (lifeline service) in emergency standalone situations. |
