(new Generic Top Level Domains) An Internet top level domain sponsored by any community, industry group or company, creating a "dot-custom name" suffix at the end of the domain name, such as .texas, .walmart or .fashion. Expected in 2011, there are serious requirements. The applicant must substantiate its ability to become a functioning registrar for the domain, and the evaluation fee is USD $185,000.
