Also found in: Dictionary/thesaurus, Wikipedia 0.01 sec.
Nierembergia

a genus of plants of the family Solanaceae. They are annual or perennial grasses and, sometimes, subshrubs. The linear or lanceolate leaves are alternate. The solitary, five-parted flowers have funnel- or cup-shaped corollas and are white, light blue, lavender, or pink. There are more than 30 species, distributed primarily in Mexico and the subtropics of South America. Some large-flowered species that resemble petunias are used in floriculture.
