Noria 

a continuous-operation transporting device with a slanted or vertical traction member (band or chain). Buckets or scoops are suspended from the traction member to scoop up and move liquids or bulk materials to a height of up to 25 m. Norias are used to transport raw materials and finished products in the flour-milling, food, and chemical industries.
