Although lifting gear will still be required in order to move the drum into place when full, and to hoist it off the trolley when it is finished with, using the lightweight drum trolleys frees up other resources such as fork lifts, and other moving equipment for other tasks.
It turned out that simply getting me on and off the trolley bed was a bigger procedure than the straightforward, 10- minute op I had come in for.
This is just ticking boxes because they are bringing beds to the ward so they can be moved off the trolley.
