(architecture) An arch or rib placed diagonally across a Gothic vault. A pointed arch. (geology) One of a periodically repeated series of dark, curved structures occurring down a glacier that resemble a pointed arch. (ordnance) The curved or tapered front of a projectile. ogive 1.
