(materials) A camphorous tasting, colorless, or pale green or yellow liquid with a peppery odor; distilled from cubebs; soluble in ether, alcohol, and chloroform; boils at 175-180°C; chief components are sesquiterpenes, cadinene, and dipentane; used in medicine.
