An alcohol-soluble yellow oil with sage aroma; obtained from leaves of the common sage (Salvia officinalis); used chiefly in flavors. Also known as dalmatian sage oil; sage oil; salvia oil.
A pale-yellow oil with ambergris aroma obtained from the flowers ofSalvia sclarea; used chiefly in perfumes.
