The common on-screen button that must be clicked to confirm some process that is about to take place. If the process can be cancelled, then there is a Cancel (or similarly named) button next to the OK button. The OK button is also displayed on information messages when no further action is required simply to keep the message on screen until you click OK and it goes away.
