optical disc library

Also found in: Wikipedia 0.01 sec.
optical disc library
Also called an "optical jukebox," it is an optical disk storage system that houses multiple disc platters. It is similar to a music jukebox, except that instead of "playing one tune," more than one drive can be used to read and write several discs simultaneously. Such devices are made for rewritable optical discs, write once discs and CD-ROMs, and can hold from a handful to several thousand discs or cartridges.
