orthoscope [′ȯr·thə‚skōp]
(medicine)
An instrument for examination of the eye through a layer of water, whereby the curvature and hence the refraction of the cornea is neutralized.
An instrument used in drawing the projections of skulls.
(optics)
A polarizing microscope in which light is transmitted by a crystal which is parallel to the microscope axis.
