Randomised radiostereometric study comparing osteogenic protein-1 (BMP-7) and autograft bone in human noninstrumented posterolateral lumbar fusion. To demonstrate the technique, Nolte and his colleagues grew a rat osteogenic sarcoma--a tumor of bone and connective tissue--in a nutrient broth and then took pictures of it with their new imaging tool. |
