Stromberg, a paleobotanist at the Swedish Museum of Natural History in Stockholm. There are four narrators representing the main characters who relate alternating chapters: Chester, Francesca, her best friend Sid, and Anne, Francesca's no-nonsense, paleobotanist mother. Discovered by paleobotanists (scientists who study fossilized plants) last spring in Morocco, Archaeopteris grew to heights of more than 27 meters (90 feet) and had a 1-meter-wide trunk. |
