Coltsfoot leaves and flowers proved disappointing, as did hawthorn haws and partridgeberries.
Blueberries and partridgeberries are made into wine here; both of those, along with bakeapples (the local name for the rare northern cloudberries), are made into liqueurs.
Aunt Nellie's Tea Room and Bakery at the Wiltondale Pioneer Village serves several traditional Newfoundland dishes, including fish cakes served with partridgeberries, toutons (deep-fried bread dough) as well as pastries and tea or rhubarb punch.
