We encountered over 400 feet of pay zone
and have identified at least two horizontal targets.
I will discuss each of these paths into the pay zone
before turning to some interesting territory that lies outside that zone.
15 fold increase in gas flow on TB04 well following successful fracture stimulation Sino Gas has confirmed a 15 fold increase in productivity following the successful fracture stimulation of a previously untested upper pay zone
on its TB04 gas discovery well.
Summary: Circle Oil successfully tested a hydrocarbon bearing interval at Al Amir SE-6X down-dip flank appraisal well over a pay zone
of approximately 8 feet in thickness in the Lower Rudeis within the interval 13,776 to 13,784 feet.
The company stated the Shields-MEI number 105H is expected to target the Gardner Sandstone formation and if successful, the well is expected to have a potential 1500+/- ft horizontal leg in the Gardner Sandstone target pay zone
Sino Gas has also now fracture stimulated an upper pay zone
in its TB04 well and is flowing back the frac fluid from the zone to confirm a stable gas rate.
The upper pay zone
identified in the Kareem Shagar Sandstone is 19 feet thick.
Drillsearch's review of the Arno-1 Birkhead Formation pay zone
and analysis of the 3D seismic covering the Arno-1 and Marino-1 Birkhead Formation discoveries indicates that the Arno-1 and Marino-1 wells maybe part of a larger Birkhead Formation channel sand play fairway (see map in linked document below for preliminary mapping of Main Birkhead Channel).
The upper pay zone
identified in the Kareem Shagar formation is a net 10 feet thick and the lower pay zone
in the Kareem Rahmi Formation is a net 19 feet thick.
Three of the seven wells also showed a fifth pay zone
in the J Sand formation at approximately 8,100 feet.
The J-Sand pay zone
showed good log response in all three wells and production casing was set to cover all five pay zones
in the Meyer #7, #4, and #2 wells.
The oil pay zone
stimulation process used to complete the Hemi 2 well has produced a more efficient and better producing well.
