Persona Grata

a Latin term used in diplomacy to refer to a person whose appointment as chief of a diplomatic mission has been agreed to by the government of that state to which the diplomat in question has been posted. Any diplomatic employee who has received permission (in the form of an entry visa) to enter the country of his tour of duty is also considered persona grata.
