The results are published in a paper titled Warfarin Dosing Using Clinical and Pharmacogenetic Data in today's issue of The New England Journal of Medicine.
There are several examples of pharmacogenetic tests to predict toxicity in genetically predisposed individuals.
One of the recommendations calls for HHS agencies and the National Institute of Standards and Technology to clarify and determine the role that each would play in standardizing pharmacogenetic data.
