photo manager

photo manager
Software that is used to organize digital photos. Also including image editing functions to crop and touch up the images, a comprehensive photo manager uses a database for cataloging files on the hard disk as well as CDs, DVDs and USB drives. For retrieval, it provides a search on keywords that have been added to each image description by the user. Sophisticated photo managers such as EZ Viewer DCM 4 by GJC Software, Inc. (www.ezviewer.com) allow user-defined categories to become icons for fast cataloging. Clicking the icon applies all its attributes to selected images. See photo editor and graphics viewer.

After digital photos have been uploaded to a PC, they can then be automatically merged, by using many available photo management software packages, with the GPX waypoint files created by iMarkMySpot.
In addition there is information to help the photographer take control of their digital photos and how to find the right photo management software.
