The campaign ceased when a plebeian dictator (appointed 287 BC) made measures passed in the plebeian assembly binding on the whole community. plebeian 1. of, relating to, or characteristic of the common people, esp those of Rome 2. one of the common people, esp one of the Roman plebs How to thank TFD for its existence?
