(astronomy)
A member of the Kuiper Belt that, like Pluto, is protected from close encounters with Neptune because its period is 3/2 Neptune's period.

This includes a group of four dubbed Plutinos because, like Pluto, their orbit has a special synchrony with that of Neptune.
