polysilicon(POLYcrystalline SILICON) Silicon with many single-crystal regions of different sizes and orientations. It is used as the gate in MOS transistors as well as an interconnect between them. It is also used to "grow" a monocrystalline (single-crystal) ingot that is sliced into wafers for chip manufacturing (see crystalline silicon for details). See crystalline and LTPS LCD. | The XG-C330X projector offers power saving features, theft deterrent capabilities, color accuracy, 3300 ANSI lumens and image detail via three polysilicon LCDs. It also uses oxynitride film with even thickness between alumina and polysilicon, a lower electrode, both of which have high affinity with oxynitride, to lower leakage current and increase the capacitor's reliability. It fuses high tech and yesteryear, with manual focus and shutter speed and a retro body casing, combined with a six-million pixel APS-C size CCD, a "through the lens" 1X viewfinder and a hinged, 2-inch polysilicon TFT display that swivels through 180 degrees. |
