The Accelnet Micro ServoAmp is small enough to fit on the same PCB as automation interface, control and power supply circuits, allowing it to be located next to the motor it drives to simplify wiring and minimize RFI concerns.
Alaris handled the problem by upgrading capacitors located on the power supply circuit board, but apparently only upgraded new units and those that came in from the field rather than extending the upgrade to units in place that were uninvolved in complaints.
