prescriptionIn property law, the effect of the lapse of time in creating and destroying rights. Acquisitive prescription allows an individual, after unequivocal possession for a specific period, to acquire an interest in real property, such as an easement, but not the property itself. | Designed to provide seniors with low-cost prescription drug coverage, the Medicare Modernization Act authorizes private companies to contract with the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to offer prescription drug plans to Medicare participants. In a letter to federal and Ontario health ministers, the Ontario Pharmacists Association said they are "gravely concerned" because they see a threat to Canada's prescription drug supply and public health. New research by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and other federal agencies is revealing a troubling rise in prescription drug abuse among young people--and among adults as well. |
