C₆H₄NH₂COOCH₂CH₂N(C₂H₅)₂Water-insoluble, light-sensitive, odorless, white powder, melting at 60°C; soluble in alcohol, ether, chloroform, and benzene; used in medicine as a local anesthetic. Also known as planocaine base; procaine.
