| Reduce Procurement Lead Time for Non-Commercial Item Acquisition: This initiative seeks to reduce from 15 days to no more than five days the time between publication of the synopsis of a proposed contracting action and the publication of the solicitation to which the synopsis refers. gov offers government agencies short procurement lead time and ease of use; access to qualified 8(a) partners; the ability to easily support small businesses and meet procurement preference goals; and compliance with the Presidential policy for E-Commerce use. Using a totally automated system, the lead time for this delivery is reduced to three days and provides up to a 78% reduction in the international procurement lead time for emergency service parts. |
