While most Class-D amplifiers use some variation of pulse-width modulation (PWM), ADI's Class-D amplifiers use a sigma-delta pulse density modulation (PDM) to reduce the amplitude of spectral components at high-frequencies, thus significantly minimizing EMI emissions.
