pure play
Refers to dealing with a specific category of product rather than a mix of products. It is generally used in marketing to indicate that a company is specializing in one area. For example, "xyz is betting on a pure play in desktop PCs" means that xyz sells nothing but desktop PCs.

London promoters Pure Play are putting on their first ever Scottish event next month when Brixton Burn arrives at Glasgow's Arches on August 28.
WHILE PUNDITS HAVE LONG AGREED that a combination of brick and click is stronger than either of those components alone, a survey from Nielsen/Netratings and Harris Interactive suggests that Internet pure plays are doing a better job of delighting their customers than brick-and-mortar e-tailers.
USWeb/CKS Inc, the Santa Clara, California-based internet consultancy and services company claims it is the first pure play internet company to top $100m quarterly revenues after a second three months to June 30 when the net loss was $22.
