Another less important Ag mineral is pyrargyrite (called 'ruby silver' by prospectors), which was only abundant in the Silver King, Husky, Elsa and, particularly, the Lucky Queen mines. High grade ore found along this vein is comprised of multi-phase, banded quartz-chalcedony veining with the principal economic minerals consisting of naumannite, pyrargyrite, miargyrite, tetrahedrite, and electrum. Preliminary petrographic work shows the presence of native gold, native silver and pyrargyrite (Ruby Silver) contained within the veins and veinlets of the stockwork. |
