Pyrrhic
in metrical versification, a foot consisting of two short syllables. The term is used in tonic versification as a conventional designation for an omitted stress on a rhythmically strong place in a trochee or iamh Examples can be found in the lines Trī́ dĕvíts̆ pōd ǒknṓm and ĭ lū́chschĕ výdŭmāt’ në môg.
