The saxophonist flies wilfully over the chords of this album's tunes (Skylark and I Fall in Love Too Easily are in there, alongside some Wayne Shorter, Ornette Coleman and Mingus), with a gleeful relish for time-bends, an Ornetteish melodic skittishness, and a brittle, faintly quacky tone that sometimes recalls the late Art Pepper.
They call the babies "Little Quacky Duck" and "Puppy Poo Poo.
