That said, what they have is not a full answer to the quantum gravity question but more of an intriguing sketch of what the answer could be.
However, debates on whether time began at the Big Bang or if humans live in a cyclic universe are less engaging--as is any discussion on quantum gravity, branes, and Planck energy--because the topics under consideration seem so remote.
The experiment will improve the existing tests of these important fundamental symmetries of nature by a factor of 1000 and should provide tests of various theories of quantum gravity, such as string theory, which predict violations of CPT and Lorentz invariance.
