repository (1) A database of information about applications software that includes author, data elements, inputs, processes, outputs and interrelationships. A repository is used in a CASE or application development system in order to identify objects and business rules for reuse. It may also be designed to integrate third-party CASE products.(2) A database of digital certificate information. The repository is maintained by the certification authority (CA) and is queried to find out if a certificate is valid, has expired or has been revoked.
