The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve was used to test the accuracy of continuously coded and categorized predictors.
Matching accuracy is defined as a combination of two quantities: the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve and contrast between the matched region and its background.
We combined these metrics and estimated the area under the weighted receiver operating characteristic curve (AUWROC) as an overall measure of performance (10).
